Encouragement to Keep Going

I grew up in Bicknell, a little town outside another small town that's near two other bigger cities. All of which you'd only hear of if you knew anything about Indiana. The corn grows high here. This leads to some never leaving the area which is a shame because they'll never see the true beauty of Bicknell without this experience.
I didn't stay in town, but I haven't seen the whole world. I have gone everywhere my dreams have taken me. I started high jumping when I was in 7th grade. After my first jump, it was all I could think about. 14 years later, it's still all I think about.
With high jump as my dream, I started to develop high standards for myself at a young age. This branched out to other sides of my life. Before I really understood this was related, I had 4.0's and was headed to Rose-Hulman (best engineering school in the nation). I pushed myself because I didn't want to miss an opportunity on the track. This lead me to have the confidence to chase different dreams in the same direction.
All because one day, I jumped over a bar.
My encouragement is this: Any dream, no matter how small to begin with can become something big. Keep putting in the hours, keep asking questions, keep chasing. Keep doing this, you'll never get further away.
